Just in time for Mother's Day, Nite-Nite turns its attention to the out of bed experience, introducing mom'z, an expert led pregnancy retreat where mothers to be feel truly supported, deeply at home, and ready to embrace the most exciting chapter of their lives. The babymoon you didn't know you needed.
When we arrive at your space, what do we feel first?
You step into a space wrapped in light, surrounded by nature, and a sense of calm. For a moment it might feel unfamiliar not to hear traffic or the usual background noise of daily life. Then the silence starts to feel comforting, almost like a gentle pause you didn’t realize you needed. By the second day, that calm settles in. You sleep deeper, breathe slower, and feel more present.
mom'z Solo Babymoon is a space to step away from the rush and reconnect with yourself during pregnancy. It’s about simple, meaningful moments, resting without guilt, sharing honest conversations, enjoying slow meals, and spending time in nature. A quiet pause before your baby arrives and everything changes.
What's the idea behind mom'z?
The intention behind the Solo Babymoon is to support wellbeing during pregnancy. While this time can be full of joy, it can also feel physically and emotionally challenging. Many women move through it while juggling work, responsibilities, and daily life, without the time or space to fully process the transition into motherhood or the support of a like-minded community.
This idea came from a personal place. Shirin, the founder of mom'z, felt this need deeply during her own pregnancy, when she realized how little space there is to simply pause, reflect, and be supported during this time. This is why she built mom'z as a dedicated pregnancy retreat, now running across Spain, Portugal, and the UK.
We believe pregnancy deserves care, attention, and space to be truly felt. Rest is not optional, but something essential. Taking this time for yourself can be a gentle and meaningful way to prepare for motherhood.
What does rest or sleep mean within mom'z retreat?
Rest is an essential part of the Solo Babymoon because it’s within rest that we can finally make space to hear our intuition. We believe intuition is a fundamental quality and guide through pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. It’s often like a quiet whisper, while fear, anxiety, and repetitive thoughts are loud and take up so much space. If we want to truly hear our own wisdom and inner voice, we need to come into a place of quiet. That means allowing our nervous system to shift into a “rest and digest” state, the calm, regulated side often described as “tend and befriend.” This is only possible when we actively practice rest.
Many of us today, across different cultures, have moved away from rest. We’re driven by doing, being productive, achieving, and constantly having something to show for our efforts. We often measure our success and self-worth through that lens. As a result, rest is frequently misunderstood as something lazy, unproductive, or indulgent. We’ve reduced it mostly to sleep, and even then, there’s a strange pride in functioning on very little of it.
At the Solo Babymoon, we gently challenge and rewrite this narrative. We create space to experience rest differently, not as a pause from life, but as an essential part of it. Because it’s in rest, in moments of non-doing, that stillness opens up. And within that stillness, we can begin to hear ourselves again.
Which treatments, rituals, or moments within your retreat that are most supportive of deep relaxation or better sleep?
Rest can take many different forms, it’s not only about sleep.
Rest begins when we allow ourselves to enter a state of non-doing. It might look like going for a quiet walk, letting your senses take in what’s around you instead of talking or staying outwardly focused. It could be a creative moment, painting or drawing, where you allow intuition and expression to lead rather than logic.
It might be something as simple as sitting in nature, taking in the landscape, and giving yourself space to feel and receive. Or getting cozy by the fire, watching the flames, taking a nap, or simply spending time alone.
During the mom'z Solo Babymoon, we create many of these opportunities, in different ways and at different rhythms. For some, it takes time to reconnect with what rest actually feels like, so everything is offered as a gentle invitation.
We also bring this into our meditations, creating space for silence, for turning inward, and for settling into that place of simply being.
We sometimes like to gently remind our mamas that when they are resting and in a state of non-doing, they are still doing something extraordinary, growing a baby. In a way, it’s one of the only times in life where doing less means creating more.

It sounds very relaxing. How would you like someone to feel as they step out of the retreat?
Feeling lighter, having let go of many of the worries and doubts you arrived with. More grounded, more connected to yourself, and more at ease with what’s ahead.
Instead of uncertainty, there’s a growing trust in your body and the journey toward birth.
You also leave with something less visible but just as important, a sense of community. A feeling that you’re not doing this alone, that there are others walking a similar path alongside you.Rested, supported, and ready to step into one of life’s most meaningful transitions.
Thank you so much for bringing us through mom'z retreats. I definitely feel very relaxed and grounded just hearing this. Is any gentle personal note you want to leave us behind with?
We can all benefit from re-establishing our relationship with rest. Learning to see it not as something optional, but as something essential and deeply nourishing. Rest creates space for creativity, intuition, and a stronger connection to our instincts, and ultimately, it even supports our ability to be productive in a more sustainable way.
It’s also important to remember that our self-worth is not defined by how much we do or achieve. It shouldn’t be measured by constant productivity or success. Life asks for balance, we need rest and nourishment just as much as we need to be active and engaged.
Giving more value and attention to rest means finding what works for each individual. For some, it may be creative rest; for others, mental, physical, or even spiritual rest. It’s about discovering the practices that allow you to access that quiet space within, where you can truly pause, reset, and reconnect with yourself.
